- Laminating Pouches
- Scissors
- Paper Bag or Cardboard Box
- Glue

Next, download and print the Valentine mailbox and envelope cards on white card stock.
If you want your kids to reuse this resource, laminate the printables and cut out all the pieces.
Finally, tape or glue the mailbox onto a paper bag or cardboard box and cut out the mouth.
How to Use the Valentine’s Day Sight Word Activity:
For this word work activity, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will pick one of the envelope cards.
Next, they will read the word on it as they “feed” it or put it in the mailbox.
If your students are just starting to learn sight words, start with just four or five cards.
You can add more cards every time they do this activity until they have learned all of them.
To challenge your students, you can have them put the the words into sentences or alphabetical order.
You can also have them practice their handwriting by writing the words on a white board or paper.
