As they put the carrot-shaped letters in the correct sequence, your kids will be working on letter recognition and ABC order.
This vegetable-themed activity would be a fun resource to add to your spring or garden units.
It is easy to prepare and use as an independent or intervention activity in any early elementary classroom or homeschool.
If your pre-readers are just starting to learn ABC order, you can have them use a visual aid such as an alphabet poster or line when they complete the activity.

- 24 Carrot Letter Order Mats
- 26 Carrot Capital Letter Cards
What Else Is Needed:
- White Card Stock
- Scissors
- Laminator
- Laminating Sheets
To prepare this letter order activity for your kids, fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
After receiving the email with the resource, download and print the mats and cards on white card stock.
Next, laminate the printables. Then, cut the mats apart and the cards out.
As an option, you can attach Velcro dots to the mats and cards so it is easier for your kids to attach them together.
How To Use The Carrot Alphabetical Order Activity:
First, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will pick a mat and identify the carrot-shaped capital letters.
Next, they will figure out the missing letter in the sequence and search through the cards to find that letter.
When your kids find the letter, they will place in on the mat in between the two letters or in sequential order.
They will then continue to until they have placed all the missing letters on the mats.
This garden-themed Carrot Letter Order Activity is fun, hands-on way for your preschoolers and kindergarteners to practice putting capital letters in sequential order.
