Letter recognition is is the ability to recognize and name all of the lowercase and capital letters. In addition, kids who can recognize the letters of the alphabet can also distinguish between them too.

  • White Card Stock or Copy Paper
  • Bingo Dauber or Small Manipulatives
  • Laminator and Laminating Pouches

To prepare these worksheets for preschool, click on the button below. Then, download and print the worksheets.

 

If you are going to reuse this resource, you may want to print the worksheets on card stock because the thicker paper is more durable. Next, laminate the worksheets so your kids can use it over and over or place them in dry erase pockets.

 

How To Use The Find The Letter A Worksheet:

To use this alphabet activity, your kids will identify the capital or lowercase letter A on the worksheet depending on which worksheet you are using. They will then search for that letter and use a bingo dauber to dab it every time they find it. 

 

Find the Letter Worksheets

 

Instead of using bingo daubers, your kids can color the letters with crayons. They can also cover the letter with a small manipulative such as a mini eraser, pom pom, or ball of play dough.

 

These preschool worksheets can be as an independent activity for young children in any early childhood classroom or homeschool. For homeschoolers, this activity would be a great addition to your morning baskets or choice tubs.
