Magnetic Letter Sight Words Activity:
Using magnetic letters is a way to turn a simple activity into an interactive one.
If you are looking for a set to add to your classroom or homeschool, sometimes you can find them at the dollar store or dollar spot.
Or, you can make your own magnetic letters. It’s easy to do!
These letter manipulatives can be used in a lot of different activities to help your kids learn beginning sounds, phoneme substitution, and sight words.
What Are Sight Words?
There are two different types of sight words. First, there are words that don’t follow the phonics “rules” so kids need to memorize them.
There are also words that are frequently used in writing so it is easier for children to remember them.
That way, they can build fluency and don’t have to sound them out every time they are reading.
