We are heading down to the farm today and learning about the capital letter P with this Letter P Pig Craft!

With the free printable templates, this is simple craft for your kids can create when they are learning the ABC’s. 

You can use this craft to celebrate National Pig Day on March 1st or add it to your farm or animal units.

Not only is this letter craft a fun letter recognition activity, but creating projects like this one can also be a great way for kids to develop their fine motor skills.

Next, download and print either the black and white or color template.

Then, make as many copies of the template that you need for your students and gather crayons, scissors, and glue. 

How To Make The Letter P Pig Craft:

To begin making this letter craft, your kids will color the capital letter P, snout, and ears if you are using the black and white templates.

We colored our pig pink, but your kids can pick any color. You can show your children pictures of pigs so they can see that they are also brown, black, and white. 

After coloring, your students will cut out the letter P, snout, ears, and eyes. They will then glue the snout, ears, and eyes onto the letter P.

 As an option, your kids can curl a strip of paper, pipe cleaner, or ribbon to make a curly tail for your pig too. 

After your children create their pigs, you can hang them around your classroom or in the hallway for the whole school to see.
