How to Use the Ocean Letter Recognition Activity:
For this letter recognition activity, your preschoolers and kindergarteners will pick a fish card and identify the capital or lowercase letter on it.
Next, they will look for that letter on their ocean mat. When they find it, your kids will cover it with a small manipulative like one of the ocean mini erasers.
If your children are using the black and white ocean mat, they can color in the circles with a Bingo dauber or crayon.
Your students will continue to select cards, identify the letters, and find them on the mat until they have filled or colored their ocean mat.
To differentiate this activity, have your kids pick fish with lowercase letters but then find the matching capital letter on the mat.
